Discover History! The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey
Plaza is located on the sixth and seventh floors of an early 20th
century warehouse known in 1963 as the Texas School Book Depository.
Opened on Presidents Day 1989, the Museum has since welcomed over
five million visitors from around the world, people of all ages
seeking information and understanding about the assassination of
President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Museum tours are
self-guided. |

Effective January 31, 2007 the Sixth Floor Museum will only accept complimentary tickets with valid expiration dates. Tickets without expiration dates or with expiration dates that have passed will no longer be accepted. We

Narrated by Pierce Allman, the first reporter to
broadcast from the Texas School Book Depository on November 22, 1963,
the audio guide provides a thorough explanation of and directions
through the permanent sixth floor exhibition. The guide features
excerpts from historic radio broadcasts and the voices of reporters,
police officers, and witnesses to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
Individual audio guides are available in seven languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. A youth audio guide is available in English only. |
| PARKING & TRANSPORTATION |

Visitor parking is conveniently located adjacent to the Museum; the cost is $5. Public transportation includes DART light rail and Trinity Railway Express. Rail services from Union Station and the West End Station are a short walk from the Museum. |

To ensure a quality experience for all guests, no photography or videotaping is allowed. Food, beverages, and the use of cell phones and pagers are prohibited beyond the Museum entrance. The Museum is a non-smoking environment. |
