I was in grade 7 when the teacher informed us of the tragedy. That evening at the skating rink I bumped into 13-year old Jimmy Gough who loudly and assuredly exclaimed "Johnson did it!" It wasn't until many years later I realized that Jimmy was bang-on. Very perceptive young man.

I was changing classes in the eighth grade. All the girls from another class group were crying and we were wondering why. We all sat in class and tried to read until the buses came to take us home. There were a lot of fears that the country would be attacked. We knew history was being made but everyone was very sad.

I just visited the museum today with my family while visiting my relatives in Lewisville. Because I was not alive during the time that the President was assasinated, I have been deeply enthrawled by what happened. I have always wanted to visit the site to get a better prespective on what happened and possibly why. Now that I have visited Dallas and the musuem, I will go home to reflect on what I have learned here and to teach others. The way that the museum is setup was the perfect way to show what had happened. I hope that this museum is able to continue to teach the future generation about what has happened and what we can learn from it. Thank you.

I was born in 1967 but have always been intrigued by the legacy and vision of JFK. Being at this site was a great experience.

I remember exiting Elementry School with the flag at half mast and hearing from others that really did not know anything about what had happened. It was somber and quiet as I walked home to find out what had happened.

I was not born when President Kennedy was assassinated. However, I have learned a lot about President John F. Kennedy's life. I heard a lot from many people about where they were when they heard the sad news. He is one great man and leader. I recently watched a movie called "Thirteen Days", which was about the Cuban Missile Crisis. I thought of how President Kennedy handled that as I watched that movie. May President Kennedy rest in peace. God Bless you Mr. President.

I remember both of my parents crying. And when I asked why they were crying, they told me that President Kennedy was killed and then they played a record of President Kennedy speaking so I could hear him. I was three years old.

I was four when JFK was shot. From that moment on and the rest of the decade I remember my father and grandfather (my mother´s side) making short comments about how sad it was that such a great person, who was doing very much good was killed. It was hard to admit bad people indeed existed in real life. My father and some persons were a part of a group of people who founded a private school back in the 6o´s, and wanted to name the school: JOHN F. KENNEDY; however, the school was named: Vanguardia, a name it still has.

Well, since I live in Dallas we get our history, math, science ect. Books from the book depository place. So in class we learned about JFK and it was interesting to me because when we was watching clips and pictures of the assassination it was a mystery of how things went that when our president got assassinated. We learned allot and since I live in Dallas every time I go downtown I think about him.

I grew up in Boston, MA. On the day JFK was elected, my brother and I passed out flyers and buttons at the election site in our city (Roslindale, MA). It was a very cold day! At the end of our volunteer shift, we decided to catch the bus to our house, when the bus driver saw all our JFK campaign buttons on our jackets, he let us ride for free!

I visited your museum in Dallas in June 2010. It brought back all the memories of the day when JFK was assassinated. I was a little girl at that time living in New Delhi, India. Morning news papers with bold headlines gave the news of JFK being shot at . Could not believe that such a liberal and young man could die. We were all stunned.
