Description and Relevance of Holding:
University Archives Collection contains a replica of the podium used by President Kennedy to deliver his famous moon speech on the nation’s space effort at Rice University on September 12, 1962. The holdings include photographs, printed material and film covering the visit and speech and news clippings regarding his assassination in 1963.
