George Stevens, Jr.

As chief of the United States Information Agency’s motion picture division in the 1960s, Stevens produced the celebrated documentary John F. Kennedy: Years of Lightning, Day of Drums. As the first director of the American Film Institute, he was involved in the opening of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., and has produced The Kennedy Center Honors since the program’s inception.
