Oliver “Buck” Revell

A captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, Revell joined the FBI in 1964 partly because of his interest in the Kennedy assassination. During his long career with the bureau from 1964 to 1994, he achieved the rank of Executive Assistant Director-Investigations (SES-6). Revell worked with the House Select Committee on Assassinations and, as Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Division, supervised the release of the Dallas FBI office’s assassination-related files in the early 1990s.
