Image 14 from Negative Strip 13: Parkland of man carrying a box labeled "Rush Human Blood" outside Parkland Hospital
Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer Eamon Kennedy. This image shows two unidentified men carrying boxes outside the emergency entrance of Parkland Hospital. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #14 on section 2 of negative strip 13.Black and white; HorizontalNote: The Dallas Times Herald, Saturday Evening Edition, November 23, 1963. Number 292. Page 3-A (2004.051.0061) has a caption that reads Hospital staff delivering plasma to Parkland Hospital. It is unclear to me as the men seem to be leaving the hospital rather than approaching the emergency entrance. Also am unsure if hospital staff would be in charge of the President's personal belongings as is the decription in the historical note section, I would assume the Secret Service would handle that aspect. - Mark Davies The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip identified the photographer as Eamon Kennedy. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Eamon Kennedy did take these photographs. The famous Kathey Atkinson photograph is on this strip and it is well-documented that Kennedy took that picture.
