Image 17A from Negative Strip 11: Motorcade of a large crowd filling the streets

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer Bill Beal. This image shows the crowd on Main Street dispersing after the presidential motorcade has passed on the morning of November 22, 1963. The image was taken from a balcony at the Adolphus Hotel. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #17A on section 3 of negative strip 11.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip attributed the photographs to Bill Beal. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that this attribution is correct.
