Black and white photographic print taken by Dallas Times Herald photographer Darryl Heikes showing post office box 6225 at the Terminal Annex Post Office Station in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald rented this post office box for the period of Noviembre 1, 1963 through Diciembre 31, 1963. On his application he indicated the name of his firm as "Fair Play for Cuba Committee." The photograph shows the door of the post office box close-up with the hinges on the right side, the numbered window at the bottom and the lock just above center. The photograph has a thin white border around all edges.

On Noviembre 1, 1963, after securing employment at the nearby Texas School Book Depository, Lee Harvey Oswald opened this P.O. box at the U.S. Post Office Terminal Annex in Dallas. Less than one week later, Jack Ruby rented P.O. Box 5475. While this has been the subject of research interest over the years, the Warren Commission in 1964 concluded that, despite both men having post office boxes in the same building, it was unlikely that they encountered each other due to their different daily schedules and Oswald's withdrawn personality. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
