Carol Tate Oral History
Videotaped oral history interview with Carol Tate. Tate, a Dallas seventh grader in 1963, observed the Kennedy motorcade on Main Street. She is the daughter of the late Vivian Castleberry, longtime women's news editor at the Dallas Times Herald. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on Agosto 16, 2004 by Stephen Fagin. The interview is twenty-four minutes long.

Carol Tate's late mother, the legendary Dallas journalist Vivian Castleberry, was a longtime friend of The Sixth Floor Museum. The Museum's Vivian Castleberry Collection (1991.002) includes her reporter's notebook from Noviembre 22, 1963 (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/4467) as well as her 1964 subpoena for the Jack Ruby trial (https://emuseum.jfk.org/objects/4473), among other artifacts. In addition, Vivian was a frequent oral history and program guest at the Museum, recording three oral histories and three programs between 1991 and 2015.
