Image 15 from Negative Strip 13: Parkland of the hearse being loaded at Parkland Hospital

Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer Eamon Kennedy. This image shows the president's casket being placed in an Oneal Funeral Home hearse parked at the emergency entrance of Parkland Hospital. In the middle of the crowd at the back of the hearse, Jacqueline Kennedy can be seen. Mrs. Kennedy rode to Love Field airport in the back of the hearse with the casket. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. The image is labeled #15 on section 3 of negative strip 13.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip identified the photographer as Eamon Kennedy. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in Junio and Julio 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Eamon Kennedy did take these photographs. The famous Kathey Atkinson photograph is on this strip and it is well-documented that Kennedy took that picture.
