Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald staff photographer William Allen. This image shows the exterior of the Texas School Book Depository on Noviembre 22, 1963. Dallas Morning News reporter Jim Ewell can be seen in the foreground of the image. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #18 on section 2 of negative strip 26.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip indicate that the photographer was William Allen. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in Junio and Julio 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that Allen did indeed take these pictures.
