Nota curatorial:

The vice presidential car in the Dallas motorcade was a steel gray 1964 Lincoln four-door convertible furnished by Eagle Lincoln-Mercury in Dallas. Driven by Texas Department of Public Safety officer Hurchel Jacks, the car was occupied in the front passenger seat by Secret Service agent Rufus Youngblood, assigned to the vice president's detail. In the backseat was Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas, Lady Bird Johnson, and Vice President Johnson. When counting the advance, pilot and lead cars, the vice presidential car was the sixth vehicle in the Dallas parade, located directly behind President Kennedy's Secret Service follow-up car. -- Stephen Fagin, Curator
