Air Force One is partially visible in the background, and several police officers and Secret Service agents can be seen guarding the President and Mrs. Kennedy.

The Boeing VC-137C aircraft (on the right), designated Air Force One when the president of the United States was on board, ultimately carried eight sitting presidents, from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton. It was officially retired in 1998 and today can be seen at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. - Stephen Fagin, Curator
