Jacqueline Kennedy, with President John F. Kennedy behind her, are visible at the top of the stairs as a crowd of local dignitaries and press wait below to welcome them. Nellie Connally and Governor John Connally are just visible in the doorway as they wait to follow the Kennedys down the steps. Several police officers guard a rope barricade.
