Black and white photograph of the Texas School Book Depository as seen from Main Street in Dealey Plaza. The building is seen almost directly face-on with the Hertz sign visible on the roof and part of the front obscured by trees. There is a lamp post in the left foreground of the photograph. At the right of the photo part of the Dealey Plaza fountain arcade wall and the front of another car are visible. There is a checkmark drawn in blue ball-point ink over the seventh floor window at the far right of the building and an "x" drawn in the lower left corner (to the right of the lamppost). The photograph has a white border around all sides with "Nov 63" printed at the top center. Written on the back of the photograph in pencil is: "Building where assassin hid & shot President Kennedy Nov 22/1963."
