If Objects Talked: Dr. Martin Luther King and Civil Rights

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, the Museum and the Dallas Public Library will share items from the Museum’s collections focusing on Dr. King and Civil Rights. Educators Elyze Davis and Genevieve Kaplan will share several objects and tell the stories behind them. Objects will include one of the Museum’s latest acquisitions – a pen used to sign the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

This program will be available through the Museum’s YouTube page and the Library’s social media channels beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
