The Museum supports National History Day, an opportunity for students nationwide to investigate history with a purpose.

The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza offers a wide variety of resources to support students with historical research for National History Day (NHD) competitions. As the only museum dedicated to chronicling the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and interpreting nearby related sites, including the Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, the Museum is uniquely positioned to assist students with research exploring the memory and effects of the events surrounding the assassination of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The Museum’s extensive collection of more than 65,000 primary and secondary source materials places events surrounding the assassination within the historical context of the 1960s.

In addition to our collections, Museum staff are on hand to provide NHD research support.
