Our education efforts advance the Museum’s commitment to outreach, engagement and learning by a diverse public, and fulfill a responsibility to empower students, teachers & others in the community.

COLLECTIONS

The Museum’s collections include more than 90,000 items related to the assassination of President Kennedy and its local and global aftermath, the legacy of the Kennedy presidency, and the turbulent culture of the 1960s.

THE SITE

The Museum is located in the Texas School Book Depository building, within the Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District. Learn more about the important history of this space, both before and after the assassination.

COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS

Bring a bit of history to your next civic or volunteer organization meeting. Museum staff can provide a 30-minute presentation which provides an overview of President John F. Kennedy’s trip to Dallas and the founding and growth of the Museum and the vital role it plays in the Dallas community through the preservation of history. Requests will be accommodated based upon staff availability and group size. Note that Museum staff have very limited availability to accommodate requests in November or December.
