Museum Visit

A Museum visit includes a self-guided tour of the main exhibit on the sixth floor John F. Kennedy and the Memory of a Nation. Students analyze the assassination of President Kennedy through primary sources. By doing so, they gain a better understanding of how President Kennedy impacted the world beyond his presidency and the 1960s, influencing the world they live in today. Museum visits must have a minimum of 20 students and a maximum of 40 students. Groups larger than 80 students must contact the Musuem and are encouraged to visit on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Add-on education programs are available for an additional fee per program. Organizations with groups larger than 40 students will need to book multiple programs. Details about the available add-on programs can be found in the Education Guide.

In Your Classroom

A classroom visit offers interactive programs for your classroom that examine topics related to President Kennedy’s life and legacy while making connections to life today. Delivered through by a Museum educator live in your classroom, your students can conduct investigations using primary sources, engage in civics-based debates and build their social studies knowledge during these classes. Programs are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. to schools within a 40-mile radius* of the Museum. Limited to 40 students per session. Virtual Learning

Virtual learning classes bring the Museum to your school no matter where you are located. Live, interactive sessions allow students to learn and discuss President Kennedy’s life and legacy with Museum staff without leaving the classroom. Virtual learning classes are conducted via Zoom and may be scheduled Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Central time. 15 students minimum and 40 students maximum per session.
