Curatorial Note:

In 2011, as part of the Love Field Modernization Program, using this picture and two earlier images from the same series in conjunction with a schematic diagram of Air Force One, architects were able to pinpoint to within a foot or two the exact location where Lyndon Johnson stood as he was sworn in as the president of the United States. Plans are underway to commemorate this location as the airport updates are completed. - Gary Mack, Curator
