Original 35mm black and white negative taken by Dallas Times Herald photographer William Allen.This photograph shows President Kennedy speaking in the parking lot of the Hotel Texas in Fort Worth at about 8:45 a.m. on the day of the assassination. Others seen in the photograph are, left to right: Texas State Senator Donley "Don" Kennard (at left edge), Texas Senator Ralph Yarborough, Texas Governor John Connally, and Vice President Lyndon Johnson. The negative is on Kodak Tri-X Pan Film. This image is labeled #13 on section 3 of negative strip 1.The old TMS record for the images on this negative strip attributed the photographs to William Allen. Based on research conducted by collections intern Mark Davies in June and July 2012, curatorial and collections staff concluded that this attribution is correct.
