Joe Cody Oral History

Videotaped oral history interview with Joe Cody. A burglary and theft detective with the Dallas Police Department in 1963, Cody went to the Texas School Book Depository immediately after the assassination. A longtime friend of Jack Ruby, Cody in 1960 purchased a gun for Ruby, which was later used in the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald on November 24, 1963. Interview conducted at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza on October 1, 1999 by Bob Porter. The interview is fifty-four minutes long.
