In response to a wave of critical literature about the Kennedy assassination and New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison’s investigation, U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark appoints a panel of four pathology experts to review President Kennedy’s autopsy materials and related medical evidence. The panel concluded that the evidence provided no evidence of a conspiracy, and they endorsed the Warren Commission’s conclusion that President Kennedy was shot from behind.
